Operational engineering

We engineer operations the way infrastructure teams engineer systems.

Seven stages, each producing a concrete artifact. The methodology is operational, not consulting — every output is something the business keeps and operates after we leave.

Stage 01

Workflow Discovery

We sit inside the operation. We watch how work actually flows — across tools, handoffs, and undocumented conventions — not how the org chart says it does.

Stage 02

Systems Mapping

We model the systems and data sources the operation touches — what writes, what reads, what's authoritative, what's eventually consistent, what's broken.

Stage 03

Bottleneck Analysis

We quantify the drag — coordination overhead, latency, rework, decision delays. Bottlenecks ranked by impact, not by visibility.

Stage 04

Operational Modeling

We design the target operating model — where AI takes over, where humans approve, where escalation routes, where confidence thresholds sit.

Stage 05

Orchestration Design

We specify the orchestration — routing rules, memory boundaries, retrieval scope, approval gates, audit requirements. Built before code is written.

Stage 06

Deployment & Instrumentation

We build the system, connect it to the operational surfaces, and instrument every decision point. No system ships without telemetry.

Stage 07

Monitoring & Governance

We hand over with monitoring, escalation rules, and a governance policy. Every routing decision logged, every confidence threshold tunable, every override reviewable.

Where it starts

The assessment maps operational reality.

Stages 01–03 are delivered as a paid assessment — three to five days inside the operation, producing the workflow inventory, systems map, and bottleneck ledger. No deployment happens without it.
